How will students at Perimeter College enroll for classes, pay fees, and receive online financial aid information?
Beginning with registration for Fall 2016, students at Perimeter College will use the PAWS (paws.gsu.edu) system to register, pay tuition, and view financial aid information. For semesters prior to Fall 2016, students at GPC/Perimeter College will continue to enroll using the GPC Student Information System

When will email migration and access to my GSU faculty/staff email account be available?
The migration of email from the GPC faculty/staff email system to GSU’s faculty/staff email system will take place in two phases:
- Creation of CampusIDs and Email Addresses/Accounts for all GPC faculty and staff.
- Migration of email from accounts in the GPC faculty/staff email system to the GSU faculty/staff email system
Account content from GPC Webmail accounts will be migrated to corresponding GSU email accounts in batches beginning on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. The migration process will take place after business hours over the course of several weeks and may affect various user accounts at different times. Once migration is complete, Perimeter College faculty and staff will use their GSU Office 365 account as their official university email account. After your account is migrated, your GPC Webmail account will be forwarded to deliver email to your GSU email account. More information about the migration process will be emailed to you moving forward.
What will my faculty/staff email addresses be?
Your official Georgia State faculty/staff email address will begin with your CampusID followed by @gsu.edu (CampusID@gsu.edu).
Will my GPC Email Be Forwarded to my GSU Email?
Yes. After the account content migration is complete, email sent to your Georgia Perimeter (@gpc.edu) email address will automatically be forwarded to your new, Georgia State (@gsu.edu) email address.
Please note: Users outside of the GPC email system will not see any indication you have a new email address. Emails they send you will be forwarded onto to your GSU email account so that you can reply from your GSU account. Users inside the GPC email system will see an indication that your mailbox has been migrated when they create a message and address it to your GPC email address. A message will be displayed at the top of the email they address to you that indicates they can reach you at your GSU email address. If GPC email system users still determine to send a message to your @gpc.edu email address, the message would still be forwarded to your GSU account just as other messages that are sent to your GPC account are forwarded.

I sent an email message to someone at both their GSU and their GPC email address and received a "failed delivery" notice. What happened? If the recipient has been migrated to the GSU email system, and the email sender in the GPC system sends to the recipient's GPC email address and GSU email address at the same time, then the GPC sender will receive a “failed delivery” message regarding the GPC email address used. However, the message has been still sent to the included GSU address and the message will be delivered.
How can I get started with my GSU CampusID and email account?
Instructions on how to activate your CampusID and email account have been sent to your @gpc.edu email account. The subject line of the email contains the words "Georgia State University CampusID & Email Account". Please take a moment to activate a password for your new CampusID and access your email account using the instructions contained in the email so that are prepared to use the account after email migration.

I am a Perimeter College faculty or staff member and did not receive a notification with information about how to activate my CampusID and access my email account. What can I do to find out my CampusID?
To look up your CampusID and begin the process of activating it, you can go to: campusid.gsu.edu and click "Find your CampusID : Faculty/Staff". If you unable to find your CampusID by looking it up using the link, contact the Technology Services Help Desk so that we can verify your account and provide you information on how to access your CampusID and email address.
Will my voicemail, which is hosted and available through my email account, be affected when email migrates?
Yes. While your email is migrating, your voicemail is also going to be migrated between email accounts. As a result of this migration, you will need to re-initialize your voicemail. Your voicemail functionality will remain the same as what you have today, but you will need to re-record your voicemail message as well as reset your voicemail password. Instructions will be sent to your GSU email account as migration occurs.

Will all of my email folders and their respective contents transfer from GPC email to GSU as part of the consolidation?
Yes. Except the “Deleted Items” folder.
How long will I continue to use GPC account?
Perimeter College faculty/staff can continue to use their GPC email account until migration of their content into the GSU email system is complete, at which time their GPC email account will become read-only and their GPC email address will be forwarded to their GSU email address.
Can I change how my name appears when I send emails?
You can choose to designate a Preferred First Name that will be used to identify you in applications such as faculty and staff e-mail. When you set a Preferred First Name, your given name (first and middle) is replaced by the Preferred First Name you set. This will allow you remove your middle name from being displayed or otherwise set how your first name is displayed when you send emails, in the campus directory, and in other select applications. Sign into the Panther Profile system to change your Preferred First Name.
Will shares of my calendar or folders transfer from the GPC email system to the GSU email system?
No. You must reshare your calendars and folders.
Why are recipients of meeting invitations that occur in the future that have been migrated to my GSU Office 365 Email account receiving new invitations to the meetings?
As calendar appointments are migrated over to your GSU email calendar, the email addresses of those invited to attend are being translated from their GPC email addresses to their GSU email addresses. Because their GSU email addresses had not previously been on the appointment, the invitation is being resent to the invitees' GSU email addresses.
Will email accounts for retirees be migrated?
We will transfer retiree accounts in a subsequent phase. We are determining what that process looks like but initial steps have already been started.

When will access to my GSU student email account be available?
Student email accounts will be available on March 17, 2016.
Can I transfer email from by GPC student email account ?
To maintain access to email from your GPC student email account, you will need to copy your account content to your GSU PantherMail student email account. Instructions will be available when student email accounts become available on March 17, 2016.
What will my student email addresses be?

Non-Person Accounts & Listservs
Will non-person accounts (accounts used by departments for room scheduling or as a group mailbox) be automatically migrated?
As part of the consolidation process, owners of non-person accounts should coordinate with their departments to determine which non-person accounts need to be migrated into the GSU email system. Will GPC Listservs be automatically migrated?
Six existing auto-maintained GPC listservs that contact various campus locations will be automatically re-created in the GSU environment. All other listerservs must be re-created by the owners of the listservs. New GSU listservs can be requested using the Listserv Request Form >

What is a CampusID?
Your CampusID is the account name you use to sign in to the majority of technology systems at Georgia State University, including campus email, the Brightspace learning management system, and others.

Your CampusID is also the first part of your official Georgia State email address (CampusID@gsu.edu for faculty/staff and CampusID@student.gsu.edu for students).
How are CampusIDs assigned and created?
CampusIDs are automatically assigned to all students, faculty and staff at Georgia State University. CampusIDs are created using the first letter of your first name, your full last name, and a number.
Can I change my CampusID?
Because CampusIDs must be unique, they are created and assigned to individuals based on a specific formula. It is only possible to change your CampusID under specific circumstances, such as when your last name legally changes. To request a change to your CampusID, contact the Technology Services Help Desk.

What is a PantherCard?
A PantherCard is the official, university-issued identification card provided to GSU faculty, students and staff. The card also allows access to GSU services, including building access, library book checkout and PantherCash purchase (ability to buy items at certain vendors by accessing funds stored in an account connected to your PantherCard).

When will the consolidated university begin using combined financial systems?
By July 1, 2016, ADP,PeopleSoft Financials, Banner A/R, and TouchNet are expected to be available for use across the university.

What happened to the ADP time approval emails I used to receive at my GPC email address?
The default work email address in ADP for Perimeter College employees has become the GSU email address. This means that although you will still log into ADP as you always have as a GPC employee, email notifications from ADP eTime use your GSU email address.
When will Perimeter College employees first be paid from the GSU instance of ADP?
Perimeter College employees will first be paid by GSU’s instance of ADP beginning with the June 28 pay period. Prior to that time, Perimeter College employees will be paid from the GPC instance of ADP.
Will I have to reenter my direct deposit information in ADP when I start getting paid through GSU for the June 28 pay period?
No. Direct deposit information will remain in place as Perimeter College faculty/staff and students begin getting paid through the GSU instance of ADP.
Will Perimeter College employees receive separate W2’s for the time periods they worked for Georgia Perimeter College and Georgia State University?
Yes, Perimeter College employees will receive two W2’s for calendar year 2016.
When will the applicant tracking system and onboarding take place Taleo for Perimeter College?
Georgia Perimeter will begin using Taleo for applicant tracking and onboarding in February 2016.

Will telephone numbers change when the universities are consolidated?
Telephone numbers will not change after the university is consolidated. Long-term, the campus phone systems will be combined to provide improved features across campuses, which could mean possible changes that would affect how both institutions dial certain areas of the university. Technology services will communicate any specific changes campus-wide before they take effect.
Will the way students, faculty and staff access wireless change?
Long-term, the campus wireless networks will be combined to provide additional features to both campuses. However, changes are not anticipated until Fall 2016. At that time, students, faculty and staff will be able to access the wireless network across campuses using CampusID and password. In the meantime, accessing networks at other campuses requires using your full email address from your home institution and corresponding password. Directions:

Brightspace/iCollege Learning Management System
How will Brightspace/iCollege be transitioned after the consolidation?
The Learning Management Systems at GPC and GSU will continue to operate separately at each institution, until Fall 2016, when the systems will be combined. Both systems are powered by the Brightspace by Desire2Learn platform. When will Perimeter Collage have access to additional software and other technology services available at Georgia State University?
A CampusID enables campus users to access systems like lynda.com online training, the Qualtrics survey creation tool, and Edublogs website creation tools. However, content in systems such as Edublogs, which both institutions use, remains separate at this time.
